We’re The Shaggy Dog Grooming Salon, your local dog grooming salon based in Goulceby, Lincolnshire, a 10 minute drive from Louth and Horncastle.
We deliver tail-wagging dog grooming services for your precious pets. The Shaggy Dog serves Louth, Horncastle, Market Rasen, Wragby and all surrounding areas. Whatever your dog's grooming needs we can take care of it, from a quick wash and brush up through to a full breed styling groom.

SERVICES
FULL GROOM
The complete pamper treatment for your pooch:
Bath, brush and hand dried with our professional products and equipment. Ears cleaned, nails cut, pad hair removed, coat clipped and hand scissored to your preference.
PUPPY BATHING
Introduce your puppy to being groomed with our puppy bathing.
HANDSTRIPPING
This is best suited to breeds with wire haired coats and is designed to keep you pets coat in its natural condition as well as clean and healthy.
BATH & DESHED
Similar to the Bath & Brush with the added bonus of a deshedding treatment. This is especially designed to help with the blowing out of a double-coated breed and short-haired breeds that now cast for most of the year. This treatment will most definitely help cut down on the vacuuming.
DOG TEETH CLEANING
We now offer teeth cleaning for your dog either as an addition to your regular grooming appointment or as stand-alone teeth cleaning appointments.
We use an ultrasound toothbrush that eliminates abrasive brushing of the teeth. Regular cleaning ensures teeth retain their natural protection against bacteria and germs, and the risk of tooth and gum disease can be significantly reduced.
Your first teeth cleaning appointment includes: Consultation, Brush Head (specifically for your dog) and first clean - £45
Subsequent appointments:
Weekly: £13 per session
Fortnightly: £18 per session
Monthly: £25 per session

PRICING
Our prices are determined by size and guided by breed, hair type and what level of work is required on each individual dog. Extra charges may apply for pets who are difficult to manage or have coats in an extremely poor condition. We are happy to provide a guide price over the telephone which may be more or less depending on the above.
Our prices are very competitive in today’s market and we are always happy to help you set a realistic budget for your pets grooming needs.
Please ensure your pet is presented to us with a secure collar and lead and has had the opportunity to relieve themselves. We endeavour to have your pet back to you as soon as possible however they can be with us from between 1 – 3 hours depending on the level of work required. We have a secure garden area where you pet can be let out to go to the toilet if required and we provide fresh water throughout their visit. If your dog is not allowed treats please let us know when you drop them off.
Our services are by appointment only with the exception of nail trimming.

Please note that our books are currently closed. However, if you wish to be put onto our waiting list please complete the below form.
All appointments will require a £10.00 non refundable or transferable deposit.
Cancellations without 48hours notice will incur a 50% charge, less than 24 hours will incur 100% fee of the appointment.
